Which I like, I mean, I'm a bad player so it's nice to press E and wipe the enemy team with little effort. Not to become a subject of Commentocracy, but you have to admit that the ultimate abilities in Overwatch are basically just a handicap mechanic so bad players can feel cool sometimes. Or Overwatch where it's like "Here's a really cool character, now lets give them a special ability which takes up half the kits power budget by giving you 3 free kills every time you use it." Like, man, the mechanics have so much depth to them, build momentum by timing your movement like Quake back in the day, shoot behind you to propel yourself forward, every characters has their own unique style of movement and the kits are really tight, they feel very slick and well thought out. I think of it a lot like Titanfall 2- actually good, but nobody was really expecting much from it so nobody even bothered to give it a try. The sad thing is that Lawbreakers in my opinion is amazing, easily my favorite hero shooter (and my friends as well). I don't see why he thinks he's worthy of success with that track record or thinks he has any relevant perspective on the Indie market. It's obviously a knock-off/heavily-inspired game and late to a currently saturated genre. Don't be jaded about how others were successful or didn't live up to your standards of success, be curious.

That game should have been able to at least break even. Watching a game like Lawbreakers fail seals the deal for me. You have to reserve 50% for marketing unless you have an existing presence or strike oil. Quality WAS your marketing.īut now, a 200k budget is utterly insufficient.
